Why can't I add a drop shadow to a node?
Drop shadows cannnot be added to existing, lab-created nodes--only to new, user-created nodes. To create a layout using drop shadows, we suggest starting with a simple, single-node template as your base, then building new nodes on top of that one. You can also duplicate an existing node to make it work with all Pager Attributes (click here for details).
Why can't I add a stroke to a node after it's been rotated?
When existing, lab-created nodes are rotated, they cannot have a stroke applied. To create a rotated node with a stroke, you must create a new node or duplicate an existing node.
To insure that your order is printed exactly as you want it, we recommend using the following guidelines when working with Pager...
- IMAGE MASKS & OPACITY SETTINGS: When a template is imported into our lab's processing system, an image mask on a node will override the image node's opacity settings. To apply an opacity setting to a node that also uses an image mask, adjust the opacity of the image mask in Photoshop or another image editing program before applying it to the image node, and keep the opacity in ROES set to 1.0.
- USING PAGER WITH THE EXTENDED OPTIONS PALETTE: Do not switch between Pager and the Extended Options Palette when editing a template's attributes. Doing so may cause undesired results when the template is printed.
- ROTATING EXISTING NODES: When rotating an existing node with Pager, you will lose the ability to add a stroke to the node. To create a rotated node with a stroke, you must create a new node or duplicate an existing node.
- USING DROP SHADOWS: Pager drop shadows cannot be generated on existing nodes. If you would like to create a template with drop shadows, we recommend starting with a basic template with only one image node, and adding new nodes on top of that one. You can also duplicate an existing node to make it work with all Pager Attributes (click here for details).
