Our team of production professionals range from Customer Service Representatives who are passionate about providing excellent support for our customers, to Color Correctors who have the skills and experience to give our customers the best possible color, to Machine Operators who maintain state-of-the-art production equipment, to Packagers who carefully put orders together, to our Shipping Crew that professionally boxes orders for shipments around the United States and the world. Our staff also includes Information Technology Professionals who help keep our computerized infrastructure operating in optimum condition. Of course, leaders who help form a successful team of workers are always an important part of our company, and we welcome inquiries from people with Photo Lab experience. A fringe benefit of the job is to work in the Santa Cruz Mountains in the city of Scotts Valley, California, just a few miles from the beautiful city of Santa Cruz on the Monterey Bay.

Bay Photo Lab is accepting applications for entry-level production positions for our Holiday Season.

All jobs require you to be able to stand the entire shift and lift as much as 50 pounds safely. The ability to work at a fast pace without errors is a key skill for these positions. An eye for detail is important. Experience operating machinery in a production environment a plus. Computer knowledge a plus. We are always very interested in any applicants with photo lab experience, including those with experience in color correction, print framing, commercial printing, bookbinding, canvas stretching or print mounting.

Ability to work reliably through December 23rd is required.

Shifts include 6am to 3pm, 10am to 7pm, 3pm to midnight and may include Saturday and/or Sunday.

  • PRINT PRODUCTION: These positions involve quality control, counting and packaging of photographic prints, and other entry level functions.
  • PRINT FINISHING: These positions involve mounting of photographic prints on a variety of types of boards, and other entry level functions. Experience with an exacto knife is helpful.
  • PRESS PRINTED: These positions involve counting and packaging of holiday cards and other entry level functions.
  • METAL: These positions involve preparing metal for printing and making mounts and other entry level functions.
  • FRAMING: These positions involve using specific equipment like saws, nailers, cutting tools, computers, etc.
  • ALBUMS: These positions involve close attention to detail, excellent ability to align photos with adhesive material, and the ability to work safely around equipment, ovens, presses and stack cutters.
  • PRE/POST PRODUCTION (administrative): These positions involve great computer skills, accuracy and memory of detail information
