Working with Image Masks

Fuzzy borders and other effects can easily be added to your images using mask files and Bay Photo ROES; no Photoshop skills necessary! An image mask is a graphic file made up of black and white areas. When applied to an image, the black areas of the file will act as a window through which you can see the image, while the white areas are transparent.

Image Masks

To add masks to image nodes in Bay Photo ROES:

  1. Easy: Use the Image Masks, Vignettes, and Effects available in the Options Palette on all Standard Sizes in Bay ROES.

  2. Intermediate: Mask files are available for download on the Downloads and Resources page on MyBayPhoto.com. Once you have downloaded these masks, they can be applied to image nodes via the MASKS button in the Pager Template Editor.

  3. Advanced: If you're a Photoshop fan, you can create your own masks and apply to image nodes via the MASKS button in the Pager Template Editor.
