Saving Templates for Future Use
Pager allows you to save the templates you create for future use. The templates can also be organized using the Templates Palette.

Getting to Know the Templates Palette:

The Templates Palette is a floating window with features to store and organize templates designed with Pager.

Templates can be organized into multiple groups (or tabs) for easy retrieval. The Templates Palette comes with one default group titled "New group." Use the Templates Palette Tools to rename and create new groups.

TIP: The Templates Palette will appear when Pager is opened in ROES. You can close the Templates Palette window to create more working space. To re-open the Templates Palette, you must toggle the Pager button.

Using Templates Palette Tools:

ADD GROUP
Type in the name of the new group, then hit the ENTER or RETURN key on your keyboard. The new group will appear as a tab in the Templates Palette.
RENAME
Select the group and/or template you wish to rename, then click the RENAME button. Type in the new name of the group and/or template, then hit the ENTER or RETURN key on your keyboard. The group and/or template will be renamed with the name you specified.
DELETE TEMPLATE
Select the template you wish to delete, then click the DELETE TEMPLATE button. The template will be removed from the Templates Palette.

DELETE GROUP
Select the group tab you wish to delete, then click the DELETE GROUP button. The group will be removed from the Templates Palette.

NOTE: Deleting a group while working on a template will cause the in-progress template to disappear, and unsaved changes to that template will be lost.

To Save a Pager Template:

  1. With your template design open, click on the SAVE button in the Design & Selection Tools palette.
  2. Type in a unique name for your template.

NOTE: The template name must be different from others you have saved previously. A template with a duplicate name will be retrievable, however if you delete one of the templates, all templates with the same name will also be deleted.
  3. Hit either the ENTER or RETURN key on your keyboard.
  4. The template will be saved in the Templates Palette for future use.

To Retrieve a Saved Template:

  1. Go to the Templates Palette. If the Templates Palette is not open, toggle the Pager button to open and close Pager, and the Templates Palette will appear.
  2. Click on the template you wish to use.
  3. The template will appear in the Layout Area, ready to be used with your images.
