Important Information for Mac OS X Users - Apple Java Security Update

A security update pushed out by Apple recently caused ROES clients (along with other Java-based applications) to fail to launch in some versions of OS X. Luckily, Java updates have since been released to correct this issue.

Following are our recommendations based on the version of OS X you are running:

OS X 10.6.8 users, please download and install the latest Java update available here. Please note, it is possible that Apple could block Java on this version of the operating system once again, though we cannot know for sure. If your hardware/software is compatible with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, we suggest updating your operating system as soon as possible.

OS X 10.7 users, please use Apple Software Update to update to 10.7.5, then check that you are running Java 7. If not, the latest version of Java can be downloaded from www.java.com.

OS X 10.8 users, please use Apple Software Update to update to 10.8.2, then check that you are running Java 7. If not, the latest version of Java can be downloaded from www.java.com.

For all versions of OSX... After updating, you will need to delete all Bay ROES shortcuts and relaunch Bay ROES from our website.

About Folder Browsing in Java 7:

Please note, there is a known issue with Java 7 on Mac OS X causing a delay in folder browsing when adding images in the thumbnails pane, saving orders, and saving templates in the Pager Template Tool. To work around the issue when adding images to a folder, simply drag images from the Finder directly into products in the layout/crop area.
